Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Marketing and Sales Assistant will be responsible for increasing our brand awareness across North America through captivating and compelling communications.
This role benefits the team by:
Generating traffic and leads for future projects
Initiating strategic and creative planning of campaigns and projects
Initiating contact with leads and maintain relationships with past, present and future potential clients
Assisting the sales team when responding to RFP’s and RFQ’s
Engaging in trade shows and industry events
Partnering with all teams across the organization on strategic marketing projects
Acting as the brand ambassador ensuring our brand, vision and mission are upheld in the market
Developing, growing and maintaining professional relationships with media contacts and industry influencers
Pitching media to ensure we have ongoing mentions and features in industry news and publications
Drafting and developing communication material for target audiences i.e. social media, email, brochures, blogs, newsletters
Assisting with inquiries and comments on all platforms to provide responses
Analyzing and reporting monthly media coverage metrics to share with the senior leadership team
Preparing briefs and media statements for senior leaders when required
Wearing multiple hats and remembering to have fun!
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
What our ideal candidate brings to the team:
A post-secondary degree/ diploma in Business Communications, Marketing or a related field
3+ years of related work experience
You think “outside the box” and are creative
Excellent writing, editing, presentation and communication skills
Knowledge of the construction industry, trends, and developments
Ability to charismatically initiate conversation and generate leads
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Advanced working knowledge of social media and digital platforms
A creative brand, with an understanding of current marketing and social media trends
Occasional overnight travel & valid drivers license are necessary
Strong influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
Experience with website content management
