Site Superintendent

A seasoned Construction Site Superintendent is required immediately for the construction of a 75,000 sq. ft industrial building addition located in Asheville, North Carolina. We are seeking someone with 5-10 plus years high dollar experience, preferably with a minimum $5 million project value. This will be a contract position to completion of the project starting at the site on or about September 2021 and substantial completion by or before June 1st, 2022. The Site Manager will coordinate all site construction activities and supervise all field personnel as required to successfully completing the project to safety regulations, on schedule, per specification and within budget. This position reports to the Project Executive.
Responsibilities
Coordinates and supervises all construction activities
Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that confirms to original plans and specifications
Handles on-site paperwork for project including but not limited to daily work reports, delivery packing slips, and credit card receipts, and weekly Look Ahead Schedules
Follow company purchasing procedures while ordering or receiving any needed material and equipment with delegate authority
Ability to read and fully comprehend the project plans and specifications
Ability to prepare, follow and enforce a site specific safety plan as well as conduct safety orientation meetings for all contractors
Ability to preplan all construction activities in order to seamless follow the project construction schedule
Ability to plan, coordinate and conduct Bi-weekly subcontractor progress meetings including recording and distributing meeting minutes
Ability to review monthly contractor pay applications and verify the percent of actual work complete
Ability to review and verify submittals and shop drawings according to plan details as well as work in place and circulate to engineers, owner, project executive as required
Maintain a positive and respectful relationships with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees
Communicates at all times with the Project Executive and others in the team
Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately
Liaise daily with the owner representative at the site, ensure construction activities are coordinated with the owner and the manufacturing operations at the site to ensure there is no interruption to the owner’s operations or if one has to occur that it is planned and agreed to
Identify and track any changes required in the work either from owner requests or unforeseen site conditions, liaise with estimating to price any scope changes, provide any quoted changes to the Project Executive for approval before submitting
Maintain an organized job site and office

Good computer skills for communication and ability to use software such as MS Excel, Word, Project, Bluebeam and Procore management software
Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality

Analytical with the ability to examine issues from multiple viewpoints
