ACI Certified Quality Control Technician

Qualifications:

  • ACI Quality Certification
  • PCI Level 1 and/or 2 considered an asset
  • Multiple years of proven experience in a precast concrete quality department
  • Knowledge of batching equipment
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs.
  • Experience working with precast concrete (considered an asset)
  • Hand and power tool experience
  • Experience reading drawings (specifically precast drawings)
  • Certifications in Forklift and Overhead Crane considered an asset
  • Strong work ethic
  • Punctual
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is essential
  • Able to work overtime and occasional Saturdays

Responsibilities:

  • Measure and test concrete at all stages against the mix design specifications
  • Prepare batches daily and mix concrete based on the production schedule
  • Inspect pre and post pour of all precast concrete products to ensure they meet the applicable standards
  • Log and list all imbedded parts as approved by engineering
  • Repair products including hardened concrete as instructed
  • Operate equipment resulting in a consistently high-quality product
  • Monitor raw material levels and communicate to management as needed
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and following instructions from supervisors
  • Assist other areas of production as needed
  • Utilize various hand and power tools
  • Work within precise limits, standards and tolerances
  • Follow directions carefully

Locations:

Kiwi Newton Group, 41 Massey Road, Guelph, ON Canada N1H 7M6

Hours: 44 hours per week + overtime
