Qualifications

  • Industrial Experience
    Previous experience in a mechanically inclined industrial setting (concrete experience is an asset).
  • Physical Fitness
    Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs.
  • Tool Proficiency
    Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
  • Drawing Interpretation
    Ability to read and understand precast construction drawings, specifically in metric measurements.
  • Additional Certifications
    Forklift and Overhead Crane certifications are considered an asset.
  • Work Flexibility
    Available for overtime and occasional Saturdays; reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Form Setting
    Construct and set forms for various precast products following shop drawings.
  • Blueprint and Instruction Interpretation
    Read and interpret blueprints accurately and follow supervisors’ instructions.
  • Material Handling
    Work with materials including wood, concrete, and steel.
  • Tool Usage
    Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to produce concrete forms.
  • Precision Work
    Ensure work meets specific limits, standards, and tolerances.
  • Adherence to Instructions
    Follow directions with attention to detail and precision.

Work Details

  • Location: Kiwi Newton Ltd., 41 Massey Road, Guelph, ON Canada N1H 7M6
  • Shift: Day Shift
  • Hours: 44 hours per week, plus overtime as required
  • Overtime: Paid at time and one-half after 88 hours biweekly
