Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience operating overhead cranes with heavy loads
- Certification in Overhead Crane operation
- Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs
- Experience working in the construction industry (considered an asset)
- Basic hand and power tool experience (asset)
- Experience reading drawings (specifically precast drawings)
- Certifications in Forklift considered an asset
- Strong work ethic
- Punctual
- Able to work overtime and occasional Saturdays
- Able to provide their own transportation
Responsibilities:
- Operate overhead crane under general supervision
- Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions
- Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism
- Inspect crane for defective parts and notify supervisor of defects or malfunctions
- Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy
- Operate crane according to signals from helper
- Follow directions carefully
- Other duties as required, as the employee will not be working on the crane all day

Shift: Days
Hours: 44 hours per week + overtime
Overtime: Paid at time and one half after 88 hours biweekly
