As a Skilled Laborer at Kiwi Newton Construction LLC, you will play an important role in supporting structural and finishing work on an active construction site. This position focuses on grouting and parging tasks, requiring attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to deliver clean, durable finishes.

Working alongside site supervisors and skilled trades, you will help ensure critical work is completed accurately and efficiently, contributing to overall project quality and progress.

This role is ideal for a dependable, hands-on individual who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Position Details:

  • Project Based, Arlington, Virginia 22202
  • Monday to Friday, 6am-2:30pm
  • Full-time Contract, On-Site

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform grouting work for structural elements, base plates, and other components as required
  • Apply parging to concrete and masonry surfaces to achieve smooth, uniform finishes
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, chipping, and removing debris prior to application
  • Mix and apply grout and parging materials according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines
  • Ensure proper curing and finishing of materials to meet quality standards
  • Assist with general site preparation and support other trades as needed
  • Inspect completed work to ensure consistency, adhesion, and overall quality
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Handle materials and tools efficiently and responsibly

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous 3-5 years experience with grouting and/or parging in a construction environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, consistent finishes
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Good understanding of construction site safety practices
  • Ability to consistently lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day
  • Physically capable of bending, kneeling, and working in various site conditions
  • Experience with mixing and applying cementitious materials preferred
  • Reliable, hardworking, and punctual
  • OSHA 10 certification considered an asset
