Guelph, ON – April 2025 – Kiwi Newton Group has officially achieved COR® 2020 certification, successfully transitioning from the previous COR® standard and solidifying its position among Canada’s safest and most forward-thinking construction firms.
Administered by the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA), COR® 2020 represents the highest national benchmark in construction health and safety. This certification is recognized by the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations (CFCSA) and requires organizations to implement and maintain a comprehensive, auditable health and safety management system that goes beyond compliance — promoting a culture of continuous improvement and risk reduction.

The new COR® 2020 standard builds on the original COR® program by placing greater emphasis on leadership involvement, internal auditing, and performance measurement. To achieve certification, Kiwi Newton underwent a rigorous multi-stage audit process, verifying the strength and consistency of its safety systems across all levels of the organization.
COR® 2020 is increasingly recognized by leading developers, municipalities, and institutional clients as a prerequisite for working on major projects. Kiwi Newton’s certification ensures clients and partners can trust that their projects are delivered with the highest standards of care — for workers, for stakeholders, and for the communities where we build.
This certification is valid from April 2025 through April 2028 and can be viewed on the IHSA website or upon request.
