Monora Park Pavilion

This project involved the expansion and renovation of a banquet hall and meeting facility, with the unique requirement of keeping the venue operational and visually presentable for pre-scheduled events throughout construction. Kiwi Newton managed careful site upkeep and implemented rigorous safety measures to ensure attendee safety.

The project included selective demolition of interior and exterior walls, ceilings, floors, and a staircase to make way for new features. A key component was the installation of an elevator to improve accessibility between floors. This required on-site adjustments from the original plans to accommodate the retrofit and ensure a watertight seal between the existing structure and the new addition, maintaining full functionality of the facility during the project.

The 3,000-square-foot expansion featured new mechanical, meeting, and storage rooms. The exterior design incorporated stone and red cedar siding, complemented by exposed post-and-beam elements, providing a rustic yet refined appearance consistent with the facility’s aesthetic. This project showcases Kiwi Newton’s expertise in complex renovations and expansions, successfully balancing construction demands with ongoing facility use.
