As a Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) at Kiwi Newton Construction LLC, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our building systems and construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and compliance. Working closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and owners, you’ll take ownership of all quality control activities across the project lifecycle—from submittal review to inspections, documentation, corrective actions, and project close-out.

Position Details:
- Project Based, Arlington, Virginia 22202
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
- Full-time in office and on-site
Primary Responsibilities:
- Remain safety conscious at all times, wearing all required PPE and by observing safety rules stated in the Employee Handbook, operating procedures and relevant regulations
- Ability to firmly adhere to all health and safety codes and regulations
- Able to perform tasks independently under general direction
- Demonstrate willingness to work with others in a team environment
- Inspect all incoming subcontract goods and material for conformity to project requirements
- Inspect all in process production and final product for conformity to project requirements
- Complete NCR’s and participate in root cause analysis
- Become a champion for Statistical Process Control in our structural environment
- Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors
- Perform other duties as requested by the department manager
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science (required)
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Construction Quality Control Manager, Project Manager, Superintendent or Construction Manager
- Completion of Contractors Quality Management training a strong asset
- Knowledge of Municipal Washington Airport Authority (MWAA) operations is a strong asset
- Valid USA drivers license
- USACE CQM certification required; experience on DoD, NAVFAC, and USACE projects strongly preferred
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety & Health certification required
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) designation is highly desirable
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and verify plans, drawings, and specifications
- Proven capability to build and maintain strong working relationships with owners, engineers, construction managers, and contracting officers
- Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); HCSS experience is an asset
- Procore experience required
