Project Name:

Meadows of Dorchester

The Project

Kiwi Newton constructed The Meadows of Dorchester, a distinctive single-story, 86,000-square-foot long-term care facility commissioned by the Regional Municipality of Niagara. Designed by Baker & Elmes Architects, this retirement home includes 120 beds and features a thoughtfully planned layout centered around two landscaped interior courtyards, providing a peaceful and inviting environment for residents.

The building’s all-brick exterior adds to its durability and integrates well within the surrounding community. Built to exacting standards under the Ontario Ministry of Health guidelines, the project was completed on schedule within 14 months. The design accommodates the facility’s operational needs while creating a warm, home-like atmosphere with access to natural light and views of the courtyards from common areas.

The Meadows of Dorchester exemplifies Kiwi Newton’s expertise in delivering complex healthcare projects that balance aesthetic appeal, functionality, and compliance with healthcare standards.
