Earth Hour takes place on Saturday, March 31 at 8:30 p.m around the world. Here at the Newton Group, we are encouraging all our employees to take part and ‘turn out the lights’ for one hour at 8:30 p.m. It’s a very small task for each of us but can make a huge impact if we all join in. Use candles for that hour for light, play board games with your family, go for a walk or just sit in the backyard and look at the stars. Talk to your children about why we are doing this. We all need to become more aware of the human impact on the environment. Canadians are not the only ones taking part in Earth Hour 2012. Dozens of famous landmarks all over the world will be going dark on Saturday, including the following: Sphinx and Pyramids of Giza, Eifel Tower in Paris, The Las Vegas Strip; Buckingham Palace and Big Ben, Empire State Building in New York and many others. So….what are you doing about global warming?
