Newton Group was the Design-Builder for the Humber College North Campus parking structure. The project was designed for 1,000 spaces with an additional 10,000 sf of retail and office space along the northwest edge. The project includes bicycle storage, electric vehicle chargers and a large grand lobby with elevators and a naturally ventilated glass stairwell.
The parking structure is Net-Zero with 750 kW of solar panels installed on both the roof and portions of the southern façade. Such a large solar array allows the structure to offset it’s energy consumption along with other buildings on campus!
Newton Group provided turn-key design-build services with the Kiwi CarPark Parking Structure Building System (Previously known as the CANADACAR), including in-house engineering, steel & precast manufacturing, site works, erection, electrical, mechanical, security and parking equipment.
