Assembly Technician:

Responsibilities:

– Follow step by step processes to achieve finished product

– Read and understand blueprints (willing to train with our drawings)

– Efficiently prepare build components for each assembly required (understand the different components that go into the assembly, using the 5S boards for description of production types)

– Ability to troubleshoot problems that may arise, communicate issues to get required assistance.

– Good attitude and willing to learn new things.

– Fast paced work environment

– Quality assurance responsibilities (double check your own work, or others if required)

– Ability to use hand tools an asset.

– Ability to read metric measurements

Hand tools required for position:

– Lineman pliers

– Side cutters

– Hammer

– Multi purpose scraper

– Tape measure

– Tool bag or tool belt required for keeping tools with assembler at stations.

Location:

Newton Group Ltd. 41 Massey Road, Guelph, ON Canada N1H 7M6

Shift: Days

Hours: 44 hours per week + overtime

Overtime: Paid at time and one half after 88 hours biweekly
