Responsibilities
- Precast Concrete Construction
Build and finish precast concrete walls, plates, stairs, and other related products. - Measurement and Estimation
Accurately estimate height, width, length, and other proportions as needed. - Blueprint and Instruction Interpretation
Follow blueprints or instructions provided by supervisors to ensure quality and accuracy. - Material Handling
Work with various materials, including wood, concrete, and steel. - Tool Usage
Use a range of hand and power tools for producing and repairing precast concrete components. - Joining and Fastening
Secure materials using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives as appropriate. - Quality Control
Continuously check work to ensure it meets code, specifications, and quality standards.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
- Certification
Red Seal in Concrete Finishing is an asset. - Physical Requirements
Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs. - Industry Experience
Construction industry experience is considered an asset, especially with precast concrete. - Technical Skills
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
- Experience in reading and interpreting precast drawings.
- Certifications in Forklift and Overhead Crane operation are considered an asset.
- Professional Attributes
- Strong work ethic and punctuality.
- Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
