We are expanding and have an exciting opportunity for a Concrete Finisher.

Responsibilities

  • Precast Concrete Construction
    Build and finish precast concrete walls, plates, stairs, and other related products.
  • Measurement and Estimation
    Accurately estimate height, width, length, and other proportions as needed.
  • Blueprint and Instruction Interpretation
    Follow blueprints or instructions provided by supervisors to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Material Handling
    Work with various materials, including wood, concrete, and steel.
  • Tool Usage
    Use a range of hand and power tools for producing and repairing precast concrete components.
  • Joining and Fastening
    Secure materials using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives as appropriate.
  • Quality Control
    Continuously check work to ensure it meets code, specifications, and quality standards.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

  • Certification
    Red Seal in Concrete Finishing is an asset.
  • Physical Requirements
    Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs.
  • Industry Experience
    Construction industry experience is considered an asset, especially with precast concrete.
  • Technical Skills
    • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
    • Experience in reading and interpreting precast drawings.
    • Certifications in Forklift and Overhead Crane operation are considered an asset.
  • Professional Attributes
    • Strong work ethic and punctuality.
    • Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
    • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
