Qualifications:

  • Organization: Very organized with systematic approach task to achieve accuracy and efficiency

  • Communication: Displays strong written and oral communication skills and employs effect listening skills

  • Problem Solving: analyzes problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risk, implications, and cost

  • Highly Motivated: self-starting, highly motivated and goal oriented individual with the ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to read drawings – Structural, Architectural, Civil

  • Working knowledge of CAD and Total Station

  • Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to discipline

  • Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality

  • Professionally and technically competent

  • Knowledge of Procore and Sage Timberline considered an asset

  • Valid driver’s license required and willing to travel to sites


Responsibilities:

  • Perform layout work competently, accurately and efficiently

  • Inspect work for conformity to design and site drawings

  • Read, review and interpret site and engineering drawings

  • Ensure all work complies with applicable engineering and building codes and standards

  • Assist Site Superintendent as needed with quality control and site organization

  • Maintain a positive and respectful relationships with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees

  • Communicates at all times with the Project Management team

  • Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately

  • Maintain an organized job site and office


Location: Guelph, Ontario


Hours: 44 hours per week, as required by site
