Qualifications:
Three years of steel welding and/or fitting experience
Current CWB FCAW, GMAW Flat ticket
Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes
Possess own layout tools
Possess own welding gear
Forklift certification considered an asset
Overhead Crane certification considered an asset
Able to use standard shop tools and equipment such as: grinders, band saw, OAC torches, ironworker, drill presses, etc.
Ability to firmly adhere to all health and safety codes and regulations
Able to perform tasks independently under general direction
Demonstrate willingness to work with others in a team environment
Responsibilities:
Weld structural steel
Layout and fit structural steel
Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors
Prepare parts for structural assemblies by using different metal processing equipment
Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
Sling Assemblies, operate shop crane and forklift and move materials as per process
Perform other duties as requested by the department manager

Wage: $22.00 - $28.00 dependent on experience
Wages will be reviewed annually in accordance with the company’s policy.
Hours: 44 hours per week + overtime
Overtime: Paid at time and one half after 88 hours biweekly
